Fall 2011: Code RED…!!
What color comes to mind when you think aggression? Love? Power? Passion? Leadership? Honor? Success? RED. And this Fall 2011, the color will be everywhere. To many, the thought of sin comes to mind when the color is mentioned. But quite truthfully, the only sin for Fall 2011 would be NOT wearing the color. As far as red representing danger, this season that’s not the case. The only danger is how “dangerously” fierce you will look when donning the color!

The Fall 2011 Collections presented the crimson hue in several shows, from Diane Von Furstenberg (whom I can’t wait to meet at the Lucky FABB conference in September) to Banana Republic. And the color is even showing up everywhere in interior designs for the home, too. Which in’t a surprise because the runway influences the direction of interior decorating, as I mentioned this past Sunday on my weekly radio segment, The Style Groove Report with Naima Turner on the Soulful Sunday show with Dyana Williams and Derrick Sampson.
