Holiday Style 2011: Leather Black Dress

As many women know, the “little black dress” is a must-have for every and any closet.  But, if you have the basics covered, why not turn it up a notch with what I’m claiming as this season’s updated little black dress – the black leather dress.

Leather dresses (real or faux) are chic and give off a sexy vamp look – perfect for any night out when heading to  Holiday parties.  There are a few precautions when wearing a leather dress to really make the look rock out. Because the dress is one that fits close to the body, leather will show every part of your body’s figure. So, be honest with yourself and if you need to wear a body shaper, then by all means wear one. You will look that much hotter in your leather black dress. But, as I always say..everything is not for every body - meaning every body type.

When it comes to the accessories, try a strappy heel or peep toe shoe.  Go for a clutch bag instead of one that is large or with handles. For your jewelry, pick one statement piece, such as a cocktail ring or a fabulous pair of earrings.
