Warm Weather Hair Do’s: Nail Summer Ponytail Looks With These Expert Tips

by Naima Turner - Fleming

While we may love the idea of flirty waves and sleek hair on warm spring or summer days – when it’s hot and humid or a rain filled day, the hair agenda may need to be switched up a bit. But this doesn’t mean we have to be destined for a bad hair day, thanks to the fabulous ponytail and chignon looks that were spotted on the Spring/Summer 2014 runways.

One of the many hair stylists on duty for several of the shows was Redken Creative Consultant Guido, who presented some chic and sleek ponytail styles, perfect for any day or starry night out. If you’ve been searching for a few good products for sleek and pulled back up do’s then you may want to consider some of his ponytail tips.

Nina Ricci Spring 2014 (ponytail look pictured above)

“While the hair is simple for Nina Ricci, the look itself is very luxurious. I used outshine 01 anti-frizz polishing milk, prior to blow drying the hair, in order to achieve a nice sleek, smooth texture. The hair is very romantic, super feminine and entirely Nina Ricci.”

Guido, Redken Creative Consultant
